Teacher of English & Drama


Required for September 2022

● 11 – 18 Selective Grammar School situated in the Cotswolds

● 1215 on roll

● Co-educational Sixth Form with over 400 students

● MPS or UPS

We wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational part time Teacher of English and Drama who will have the desire to assist our Head of English in taking the department on to even greater success. English is a popular and successful subject within the school, with numbers for A Level English Literature being consistently high. The school also offers Drama at both GCSE and A Level. There may be the opportunity to increase the level of the contract, possibly up to Full Time, if the candidate is willing to teach a second subject.

The successful candidate will:

● Have a passion for teaching English and the ability to inspire both staff and students.
● Have the ability to teach English at Key Stage 3 and 4 and a desire to teach it at KS5.
● Have the ability to teach Drama at Key Stage 3
● Insist on a commitment from all young people to achieve success; and will have the ability to motivate students with a focus on maximising attainment.
