Are you a night owl wanting to do something more than just security?

We are CCP, an independent charity of around 250 staff and 100 volunteers across multiple counties and our purpose is to prevent the causes and reduce the effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion.

Our Night Concierge/Security (Internally known as Building Supervisors) cover the night shifts within our buildings which provide accommodation and housing support for young people and vulnerable adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Hereford, Herefordshire.

Could this be you?

Your focus will be to ensure that our buildings are safe and secure overnight for our residents who live there.

You'll need to stay awake, to be available as a point of contact for residents at any time during the night ensuring the home is safe and secure. This will also involve liaising with support staff at the start and end of your shift to ensure a good flow of information between staff.

As safety and security is paramount within this role, you will be expected to defuse any situations that may affect the health, safety or wellbeing of residents. A key function is to undertake health and safety checks and walk arounds throughout your shift.

You will need to adopt sound judgement to either resolve situations yourself, seeking support from peers and emergency services if needed. Demonstrating empathy and patience towards our residents is essential.

There will be tailored, specific training that will help you advance through a training pathway and progress your career at CCP.

Our close-knit teams of Building Supervisors, Support Workers, and Project Managers deliver their support over a rota pattern.  We aim to accommodate people’s preferences for work locations and shift patterns when possible.

If you are empathetic, driven, embrace opportunities and are willing to learn and reflect, we want to hear from you, to help us continue to achieve our vision and purpose.

Could this be you?

Apply today and soon you could be making an incredible impact to people's lives.
