EXPERIENCED WOOD MACHINIST - PERMANENT FULL-TIME
Cheltenham
We are an established bespoke furniture manufacturer based in Cheltenham. We are looking to recruit an experienced wood machinist for our busy Frame Shop.
Job role key duties will include:
- Machining wood to company standards and specifications to produce high quality furniture pieces
- Adjusting, trimming, inspecting wood
- Knowledge in the use of a variety of workshop equipment such as panel, band, cross-cut saws, spindle mortice etc. is essential
- Material handling of raw timber
- Manual handling
- Cleaning and inspection of workshop tools and machinery
- Experience of working with show-wood furniture
- Performing all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations, including the wearing of PPE supplied by the Company
Skills required:
- Ability to read, understand and work to technical drawings / instructions
- Good practical skills
- Good levels of concentration and attention to detail
- Maths skills to make calculations and take measurements
Experience:
- 3+ years practical experience required
