Digital Engagement Co-ordinator

Barnwood, Gloucester

Age UK Gloucestershire’s aim is to make our county the best place in the UK in which to grow older

The best place in which to grow older has high quality and up to date online content that is easily available and relevant to people as they age.  It also has safe places online where older people can connect and interact with others.

This exciting role reflects Age UK Gloucestershire’s ambition to strengthen our on-line profile to connect older people to each other, their communities and to our organisation.

We’ve made a great start.  We have an established look and feel for our social media. We have a Facebook Springboard Social Group:  a dedicated online social space for some of our community group activity, and have over 300 members who share information and ideas.  The number of people visiting our website to search for information continues to grow and our monthly e-newsletters are read by a small but engaged group of supporters. But we know that we can reach far more older people with more co-ordinated and engaging communications – and we need someone with the passion, skills and know-how to make this happen.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can shape brilliant, accessible digital communications to engage, inform and entertain our key audiences
• Has experience and confidence using a range of social media channels, website, email newsletters to communicate creatively with internal and external audiences
• Can develop and support our digital fundraising

This is a busy, varied and exciting role, with the potential to contribute to our digital communications plans and strategy.

If you wish to apply or would like further information on this position, please visit our website by clicking on Apply Now, or contact Barbara Williams for an informal chat about the role via the email to the right of this advert.

We are committed to having a workforce that is representative of the community we serve, at all levels of the organisation. We therefore welcome applications from all backgrounds and all sections of the community.

Closing date: Monday 17th January 2022– although we reserve the right to close applications early. Interviews to be held w/c 24th January 2022

Salary: £20,400 FTE

Hours Per Week: Up to 37 per week, flexibility considered
