Community Family Worker


Required Attendance:   All Year Round

Start Date:   ASAP

Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2023 with potential to extend.

Aspire Foundation are seeking to appoint a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team to deliver a range of group work and early intervention support.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between universal and current targeted support services.

The Community Family Worker will work alongside the Early Years and the targeted Family Support teams across Cheltenham and Tewksbury Children and Family Centres and will develop and deliver universal services to young children and their families.

You will be required to work flexibly across our Children and Family Centres which are located across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury districts. 

You will need to have a relevant Level 2 or above Childcare, Health or Social Care qualification.

Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.  Business Insurance must be included on your Insurance Policy.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2023, with potential to extend, working 37 hours per week over 5 days.

Secondments are welcome.  Applicants should have secured an agreement to the secondment prior to attendance at interview.

As a member of the Aspire Foundation Team we will offer you:

• Support – through six weekly supervisions and an Annual Performance Review.
• Training – on-going continued professional development which could include on the job training, work shadowing, courses and qualifications – all depending on what you need as a person and what the organisation needs now and in the future.
• A workplace pension scheme to all qualifying staff.

As part of the recruitment process you will be asked to attend an interview and complete a short task.
We will require two written references for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.

In accordance with our data retention policy we will keep all paperwork related to the recruitment of this post for 6 months after which it will be destroyed.

Salary: Grade 5(point 11) £21,748 - £23,080 pa

Hours Per Week: Full Time 37 hours per week over 5 days
