Specialist Support Worker - Atlas Project - CBS374

As a Support Worker this is a great opportunity to join a leading charity supporting people to turn their lives around.

This role will be working within CCP's community-based services on the Atlas Project. The Atlas project is designed specifically to support offenders and ex-offenders over the age of 18 years old who have a housing need. Your aim will be to break the cycle of crime by supporting clients to secure suitable accommodation and to develop the skill set needed to ensure stable independent living out in the community.

You will thrive at building relationships, be it with those you are supporting or with our network of partner agencies. You will see strengths in people and help them to harness these to achieve a safe stable home for themselves, liaising with other professionals as needed.   Multi-agency working is vital within this role, as you will be working closely with prison, police and probation services. A proactive approach is also essential to provide the best possible outcomes for your clients.

Managing a busy caseload will require that you bring strong organisational and time management skills.  You will be working in people’s homes or from drop-in sites, seeing multiple people in a typical day and will be given the flexibility to be creative in how you manage your time.

There are many ‘wins’ in the role – helping people access their benefits or appealing where these have been withheld; supporting people to move into safer, more suitable accommodation or securing furniture/essential items and negotiating with landlords to withdraw eviction notices.

Benefitting from 1-2-1 supervision, a designated training pathway and working within a knowledgeable, experienced and supportive team, you will have the support in the place to thrive in the role.

The role is a Monday-Friday pattern however some flexibility is required for evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the clients when appropriate. We offer flexible working to suit a work/life balance.
