Mental Health Community Advisor (Peer Team)

Countywide Role

This is an exciting time to come and join us here at Independence Trust. As a member of the Peer Support Team in our CALMHS Service you will be responsible for building a robust, person centred Peer Network across the county. You will work closely with the client group in supporting them to build networks of support that reduces the reliance on countywide Mental Health Services. You will work co-productively with the clients and their support network, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes within the community.

• Strong networking skills, with a knowledge of the vast variety of different services and groups within the county
• Have the ability to work positively with collaborative partners and health professionals
• Be committed to Peer Support and the building of individual resilience
• Have a belief in person centred support and personal recovery
• Effective communication skills
• Be able to motivate people to take responsibility for their personal journey and recovery
