Job Description Location Woodchester Salary up to £36,000 depending on experience. As the warehouse operations at Woodchester continue to evolve, this is a particularly exciting time to join the team. With the introduction of advanced storage automation and an expanding role in supporting Renishaw’s service requirements, the department is entering a period of significant development and innovation. We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual who can help shape these changes, ensuring our processes are robust, efficient, and ready to meet the future needs of the business. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a warehouse team to support the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods via effective workload organisation and prioritisation. Demonstrate good working knowledge of Health & Safety in the warehouse environment, leading by example by promotion of best practice and identifying & implementing areas for improvement. Ownership of local delivery, quality, and cost measures with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets. Pro-actively identify, plan, and implement process improvements and projects to increase operational efficiency of the area. Adhere to customs/trade compliance legislation with regard to the movement of goods. Deputise for the Warehouse Section Manager where required and provide support to other site warehouses if needed. Key Requirements Ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy operational environment focused on achieving targets and identifying/actioning areas for improvement. Possess good working knowledge of warehouse operations and related systems. Possess good knowledge of Compliance aspects that impact warehouse operations, eg: Export Controls, Dangerous Goods legislation & Plastic Packaging Tax. Good communication skills, written & verbal, are required as interaction with a wide range of business functions is integral to the role. Person specification The successful applicant will be able to work under pressure in a busy operational environment whilst maintaining a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
