Ruxton Surveys is a modern, forward thinking, highly professional and experienced measured surveying company (established in 1987). We provide services on a wide range of project types involving the retail, commercial, education, residential and historical sectors.Our company provides multi-discipline surveying solutions to a broad base of prestigious clients covering projects throughout the UK and we are looking to expand.

Due to our continued success, we are growing at a strong pace and are now searching for a Land or Measured Building Surveyor to join our talented and friendly team.

Role and Responsibilities

Focused on Measured Surveying, this is a hands-on role which will involve various data capturing methods, data processing and CAD draughting in order to deliver projects.

• Understanding point cloud datasets and traditional survey data to produce Measured Survey deliverables
• Experience with 2D CAD creating topographical maps /floorplans / sections / elevations from point cloud data and traditional methods
• Competent user of various survey instruments including Disto’s,RTK-GNSS, Total Stations andTerrestrial Laser Scanners


• Experience with 3D CAD from any package
• Revit - creating mass models /parametric models from point cloud data
• CAA license UAV experience
• Experience with photogrammetry data capture and processing from any software package

Experience and skills

• At least 18 months experience working with Land/Measured Building Surveys
• Confident in completing survey projects to specification and to a high standard
• Enjoy working with others in a strong team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Strong ability to work independently with confidence and discipline
• Demonstrate initiative, integrity and intelligence
• Woking to deadlines and maintaining standards
• Evidence-based project experience
