Due to additional funding an opportunity has arisen for a PE Sports Assistant to join the PE Faculty at Cirencester Kingshill School on fixed term contract for 12 months,. The role focuses on supporting the delivery of high-quality physical education, contributing to a broad extra-curricular offer, and promoting positive engagement in sport and healthy lifestyles. You will support students both within lessons and beyond the classroom, helping to develop confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards participation. This includes contributing to lunchtime and after-school clubs as part of a rich programme of opportunity beyond the classroom.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience of working with young people, ideally within a sports or coaching environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Enthusiastic about sport and committed to developing students’ confidence and potential

• Able to motivate and engage students of all abilities in an inclusive environment

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary Scale: Grade D, Point 3-6, £24,796 – £25,989 FTE /Actual £11,207 – £11,746 per annum pro rata

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday (12.00pm–5.00pm)

Contract: Fixed-term (12 months), term-time only

Start: September 2026
