An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join the Learning Disability CAMHS service covering Bristol and South Glos.
We are a creative an innovative service dedicated to delivering best practice to our service users. This post holder will hold qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support,
Must be a qualified Nurse, Psychologist or other health and social care professional with additional training in PBS.
This is advertised as a full-time post for 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) services for children and young people with Learning Disability and behaviours that challenge.
The post holder will deliver direct assessment/intervention services to children and their carers referred to the service.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be professionally accountable to the service lead for their practice and conduct.
Provision of specialist advice, consultation and training for other professionals, teams and agencies involved in the care of children with learning disabilities.
Propose changes in service developments, guidelines, protocols and projects relevant to children with learning disabilities in consultation with the service lead.
Undertake or support research and audit relevant to this area of healthcare.
Provision of teaching, as required, to other staff from other agencies.
