Development Worker (Young Adult Carers)


An exciting opportunity exists to join an award winning organisation at the forefront of developing support services with and for young carers. 

Starting Salary Grade I, pt 27 – 30: £24,657-£27,358 depending on qualification and experience (pro rata)
Three year contract

The successful candidate will develop and deliver a programme of interventions appropriate for young adult carers ensuring a multi agency, whole family approach.

We are looking for an experienced development worker with the skills to engage and work with young adult carers, aged 16-24 yrs, in one to one and group settings. You will be experienced in dealing with the issues affecting young adult carers in their transition to adulthood and supporting them to achieve their potential.

You will represent Gloucestershire Young Carers in a manner consistent with the highest professional standards reflecting Gloucestershire Young Carers’ commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity and follow national and local policy in relation to safeguarding at all times.
