Must have’s
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum of five years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting, tax and VAT regulations
- Experience preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Experience preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software (Xero essential, IRIS advantageous)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

- So, what will you be doing?
- Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns
- Managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients
- Attending client meetings and providing expert accounting and tax advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing workflow to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved
- Delegating work effectively across the team
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
- Supporting the continued growth and success of the practice
Helpful extras
Full-time office-based role with occasional travel to other offices and client sites
Flexible working pattern may be considered across five days with reduced daily hours
