Must have’s
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum of five years' experience within an accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting, tax and VAT regulations
Experience preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Experience preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns
Excellent client relationship management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with accounting software (Xero essential, IRIS advantageous)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Nice to have’s
Experience working with agricultural businesses, farms or estates
Experience managing complex client portfolios
Experience improving systems and internal processes
So, what will you be doing?
Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparing and reviewing personal, corporation tax and VAT returns
Managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients
Attending client meetings and providing expert accounting and tax advice
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Managing workflow to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved
Delegating work effectively across the team
Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior team members
Keeping up to date with accounting and tax legislation
Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
Supporting the continued growth and success of the practice

Full-time office-based role with occasional travel to other offices and client sites
Flexible working pattern may be considered across five days with reduced daily hours
