Salary: £45,000 - £50,000Location: Cheltenham

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be supporting a long-standing and growing client who have recently acquired a new business unit. As part of this exciting phase of expansion, they are now recruiting their first Management Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function for this division.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in shaping financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving the company's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the senior leadership team to influence financial strategy, support business planning, and provide meaningful commercial insight.
• Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, margin analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance commentary.
• Oversee essential finance operations such as cash flow forecasting, stock costing and valuation, payroll, VAT returns, journals, and control account reconciliations.
• Lead the annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecast process, ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and smooth year-end activities.

Skills & Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience as a Management Accountant with strong analytical skills, problem-solving capability, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong competency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning, with excellent Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
• Background in manufacturing, including stock costing, reconciliations, and understanding of operational finance.
