Office & Sales Administrator

Office & Sales Administrator

Cheltenham

We are very excited to be working with a successful and established privately owned business based in Cheltenham (with free onsite parking), who are looking to welcome an Office Administrator / PA to join their close-knit team. With ambitious plans for continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a hardworking, down-to-earth business where their people take pride in what they do and everyone plays an important part.

This is a varied and hands-on role, with the main focus on customer order processing, invoicing and general office administration, alongside providing PA support to the Directors with business travel arrangements and other day-to-day requirements. You'll be joining a busy office where no two days are quite the same, so someone who enjoys getting stuck in, using their initiative and taking responsibility for keeping things running smoothly will really thrive.

The business is looking for someone reliable, organised and proactive, with a genuine desire to do a good job and become an integral part of the team. In return, you'll receive full training and support, working closely with the Directors to get to know the business and its processes. For someone who demonstrates the right attitude, work ethic and ability, there is real scope to take ownership of the role, develop their responsibilities and grow alongside the business, with the potential to progress into a more senior position as the team expands.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Processing customer orders, preparing customer invoices and raising credit notes.
-Liaising with customers, contractors, stockists and suppliers regarding orders and delivery dates
-Handling incoming calls, responding to customer enquiries and providing a professional and helpful service
-Supporting sales and purchase ledger duties, alongside credit control activities.
-Coordinating business travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation and other travel requirements.
-Preparing professional business correspondence and documentation
-Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks and providing support to the Directors as required.

Candidate Attributes:
-Previous experience in an office based or customer focussed environment
-Confidence using computer systems, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
-Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a confident telephone manner
-Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
-A positive, hardworking and flexible approach, with the confidence to use your initiative
