Do you have the passion, skills and ambition to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable adults in Gloucestershire? If so, the Contracts Team wants to hear from you.

About the Team & Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, dynamic Adult Social Care Commissioning team as we embed our new Contract Management Framework. As a Commissioning Officer (Contracts), you will support the Framework’s implementation and ongoing development, helping to establish effective monitoring and assurance across Adult Social Care contracts.

You will coordinate key contract management processes, including provider self-assessments, performance information, KPI monitoring and compliance reporting. Working closely with colleagues who oversee Adult Social Care contracts, you will help centralise and standardise processes, strengthen risk and performance oversight, and ensure commissioned services deliver value for money and positive outcomes for Gloucestershire residents.

You will analyse and interpret contract and performance data, maintain monitoring information, and support the development of reporting tools that strengthen provider intelligence and decision-making. You will also help develop new processes and ways of working, enabling the team to respond to emerging challenges and deliver innovative solutions in a complex, evolving environment.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in health and/or social care, commissioning, contract management, assurance or a related field. You will understand the importance of governance, compliance and risk management and be confident managing multiple workstreams and priorities.

You will have strong analytical and organisational skills, with experience of using large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and data visualisation tools would be advantageous, together with a commitment to further developing these skills through training and professional development.

You will be proactive, solution focused and able to think creatively to overcome challenges and improve processes. With excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, you will work effectively with colleagues, providers and partners to support continuous improvement and deliver contract management and assurance activities. Most importantly, you will champion team and organisational aims, keeping effective contract management, robust assurance and continuous improvement at the heart of high-quality services for vulnerable adults in Gloucestershire.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do and how we treat each other. They provide essential guiding principles about the way that we work and set the tone for our culture, and identify what we, as an organisation, care about.  See more about our Values on our website.

If you hold the same behaviours and approach, then we want to hear from you! In exchange, we will provide you with full training and support to help you succeed in your role.
