Description 
A vacancy has arisen for a DBS Decision Maker in the DBS Unit.  The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the decision making and disclosure element in relation to Disclosure and Barring Service applications which help employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, by providing criminal record checks and assisting with decisions on barring referrals.

The unit is funded entirely by the DBS Agency, but you will be employed by Gloucestershire Constabulary.

The following experience and qualifications are required for the role:-

Educational attainments equivalent to fours GCSE’s (including Maths and English)
Proven administrative experience in a busy environment dealing with high volumes and meeting deadlines
Computer literate with good keyboard skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook and Web-browsing software
Proven experience in the collation, analysis and evaluation of information
Proven experience of making decisions
The role is full-time (37 hours per week) however part-time applicants will be considered.

The role allows for flexible working hours and by agreement a blend of office based and remote/home working.

The successful candidate for this role will be vetted at level Staff RV. This means the individual will need at least 3 years worth of residency in the UK.

The proposed interview date is 24th June, however this may change.
