WE’RE HIRING – SCHOOL ATTENDANCE OFFICER
Location: Gloucester
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum. Part time options will be considered.

Class People are recruiting for a School Attendance Officer to join a school in Gloucester, supporting pupils and families to improve attendance and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
The Role:
Monitor and maintain accurate pupil attendance records.
Identify and follow up on persistent absences and lateness.
Work closely with parents, carers and school staff to improve attendance.
Support the implementation of the school's attendance policies.
Prepare attendance reports and maintain accurate records.
Help identify barriers to attendance and work with families to find solutions.
Promote positive attendance and improved outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in school attendance, education welfare or a similar role.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Confidence working with pupils, parents and school staff.
A proactive, professional and supportive approach.
An understanding of safeguarding and school attendance procedures.
