SEND Administrator
Gloucester
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our SEND team at Bridge Training. This role provides essential administrative, data, and coordination support to ensure high-quality SEND provision and effective learner support across the organisation.
Bridge Training is not your typical education provider. Since 1989, we’ve created alternative educational pathways for young people across Gloucestershire who may not thrive in mainstream settings. As SEND Administrator, you will:
- Maintain accurate SEND records and prepare key documents, including EHCP and review paperwork.
- Coordinate assessments, meetings, and annual reviews, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage SEND-related data, produce reports, and support compliance with policies and legislation.
- Act as a first point of contact for SEND queries and support staff with training, audits, and resources.
- Support onboarding, induction processes, and wider events while upholding safeguarding and GDPR standards.
You will also champion Bridge’s ethos of holistic, person-centred learning, and work with learners who may have complex personal barriers, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative experience, ideally within education, training, or SEND services.
- Demonstrates excellent organisation, communication skills, and confidence using digital systems.
- Understands SEND processes, confidentiality requirements, and safeguarding expectations.
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Is reliable, committed to learner success, and willing to undertake further training and development.

Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate SEND records, including learner files, assessment reports, support plans, and progress reviews.
- Prepare, update, and distribute SEND documentation such as EHCP paperwork, annual review forms and invites.
- Monitor deadlines for statutory processes and ensure all SEND documentation is submitted on time.
- Prepare meeting packs, agendas, and minutes, ensuring actions are recorded and followed up.
- Support SEND team across sites with the wide range of administrative tasks.
- Ensure documents are stored securely and in line with GDPR, safeguarding requirements and internal policies.
- Assist with onboarding processes by collecting background information, previous SEND records and assessment data for new learners.
- Prepare resources, templates, and forms for the SEND team and wider staff use.
Learner Support Coordination
- Assist with arranging assessments, meetings, and reviews for learners with SEND, including EHCP annual reviews and My Plan reviews.
- Assist with administrative processes and data that contribute to the awarding and monitoring of exam access arrangements.
- Communicate with parents/carers, external agencies, and local authorities as needed.
- Support the induction process by gathering information on learner needs and ensuring staff are informed.
Data & Compliance
- Input and manage SEND-related data on internal systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Produce reports for the SEND team, senior leadership, and external bodies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding standards, and Bridge Training policies.
Staff Support & Communication
- Act as the first point of contact for SEND-related queries from staff and learners.
- Provide administrative support for training sessions and staff briefings related to SEND.
- Support the SEND team with audits, action plans, and improvement initiatives.
General
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment for students and staff, in line with Health & Safety regulations, the Code of Conduct, Safe-guarding protocols, Data Protection (GDPR), and the Equality Policy. Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the provision.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, including weekly fire alarm tests, biannual fire evacuation drills, and the proactive identification and mitigation of hazards (e.g. slips, trips, and falls), in accordance with Bridge Training’s risk assessments.
- Actively participate in Bridge Training events, including parents’ evenings, open days and careers events, to support learner engagement and progres-sion.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development by active-ly engaging in lifelong learning and seeking opportunities to enhance personal effectiveness and subject knowledge.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required, both at the primary place of work and across other Bridge Training locations. Over time, the responsibili-ties of this role may evolve; any changes will be made in consultation with the post holder and reflected in a revised job description. The company’s appraisal process will serve as the formal mechanism for reviewing and updating this document.
The post holder will also undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required at the initial agreed place of work and other locations. In time the job may change and in consultation with the post holder, the job description will be revised and issued, as necessary. The appraisal process in place in the company will be the mechanism for instigating discussions and subsequent amendments to this document.
