Lead a Team That Keeps Essential Services Moving

The Corporate Fleet Unit plays a critical role in supporting services across Gloucestershire, ensuring the efficient management of vehicles, systems and processes that help keep frontline services running.

 

 

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Administration Supervisor to lead our administration team and drive the delivery of a high-quality business support service. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who is passionate about customer service, developing people, and continuously improving the way we work.

 

Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will lead a team responsible for delivering effective administrative support, managing competing priorities, and ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to meet the needs of the service.

 

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of administrative professionals, setting clear objectives and promoting high performance.

• Ensure the delivery of a responsive, efficient and customer-focused administration service.

• Oversee office systems, processes and standards, identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

• Support managers with business planning, reporting, performance monitoring and corporate requirements.

• Coordinate meetings, projects, communications and service-wide administrative activities.

• Support financial administration, budget monitoring, procurement activities and management information.

• Ensure data, records and information are maintained accurately and in line with corporate standards.

• Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation.

 

About You

• Experience managing or supervising administrative teams in a busy environment.

• Proven ability to organise workloads, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience developing staff, supporting performance and building effective teams.

• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Experience of business support processes, financial administration and office systems.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• A proactive approach to identifying improvements and implementing positive change.
