Job Description Location: Wotton-Under-Edge Hybrid working: 3 days/week on site Salary: up to £30,000 depending on experience Renishaw UK Sales is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to work in our newly established regional finance hub, supporting operations across the EMEA region. We are seeking a motivated, proactive and detail-orientated individual to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands on experience across various areas of finance, while working within an international business environment. As one of the first members of the regional hub, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the teams’ operations, develop a broad range of finance skills, and grow your career within Renishaw’s global finance functions. Given the new and evolving nature of the team, this role will be dynamic and varied, with responsibilities that may change as the hub grows and processes become established. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following: Purchase Ledger: processing purchase ledger invoices, preparing payment runs and resolving discrepancies. Sales Ledger: chasing overdue payments and assisting with credit control activities. General Ledger: Processing journals, reconciling ledgers and supporting accruals & prepayments. Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and reconciling multiple bank accounts in various currencies. Supporting with month-end closing procedures. Supporting the preparation of management accounts by providing accurate financial data. Using accounting software and other financial applications (e.g. Microsoft D365, Power BI etc) for data entry and reporting. Helping with ERP system implementation projects as the finance hub scales. About you Basic understanding of general accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial systems or ERP tools. A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a regional multicultural team. Studying towards or interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc).
