Training Coordinator
Office Based, Dursley
KCA provides training for professionals in Education, Public Health, Local Authorities, and the Voluntary sector. Our training is grounded in the science of attachment, trauma, and resilience. We place strong emphasis on relationships – within our team, with commissioners, and with training participants – to support effective, relational approaches that improve outcomes for others.
We are looking for a Training Coordinator to join our team in Dursley. You will oversee the training event logistics, including venue preparation, and participant support. The role also involves providing essential administrative support, maintaining records, and assisting with day-to-day office operations and reception duties
This role is for 21 hours per week (ideally across 4 days per week)
Salary: £24,000 per annum FTE (which equates to £14400 pro rata on 21 hours a week) with potential for profit share under KCA Employee Owned Trust model
KEY AREAS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Coordination:
- Oversee the setup and execution of events, including liaising with commissioners for logistical information, keeping records in KCA Connected up to date, registration forms, joining information , communication with participants, venue details, and timely preparation and distribution of training materials
- Booking Venues if required
- Providing facilitation and hosting support to Trainer Consultants and Associates during virtual training sessions using Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Supporting and assisting Trainers by ensuring they have all they need to run events, including booking accommodation
- Post-event administration
Reception & Customer Service:
- Performing an office reception role as required, i.e. greeting visitors, answering the telephone, responding to e-mail inbox enquiries
- Working with other staff who fulfil reception duties to ensure continuous cover
- Handling user/customer support issues
Administration:
- To support with general administrative duties e.g. office function, manage and distribute post
- Record all customer, supplier and user contact in KCA's online system known as 'Connected'
- Provide administrative support to colleagues for marketing campaigns – e.g. mailouts, digital communications
- Provide additional administrative support to colleagues as required
- Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g. data protection)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:
- Evidence of customer service experience
- Evidence of good record keeping using online data management systems
- Experience of using online communication platforms, including Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Ability to form and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues.
- Evidence of managing event logistics
- Experience of working in office and Administrative roles
- Proficient in the use of MS Team, Excel and Outlook and experience in the use of online data management systems
- Experience of engaging with people at all levels across a range of relevant sectors
- A commitment to creating a working environment that values relationships, wellbeing and staff resilience as key
- Understanding of General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR)
DESIRABLE:
- Experience of providing support to customers using online data management systems
- Motivated by a desire to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families
- Experience of marketing administration and digital media campaigns
