About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts Administrator & Office Manager to cover maternity leave - Fixed Term Contract - may become permanent as business is undergoing growth. This is a varied role supporting both our finance function and day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple tasks, and able to balance financial administration with broader office management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Administration
• Day-to-day bookkeeping: reconciling transactions on the bank and maintaining accurate financial records
• Processing staff expenses
• Supporting monthly billing cycles, working closely with our Management Team

Recruitment & HR Support
• Posting job adverts on university job boards and with local recruitment agencies
• Coordinating applications: gathering CVs, organising interviews, managing candidate communications
• Handling paperwork for new starters, including contracts and onboarding documents
• Setting up new employees on Breathe HR system

Office & Event Management
• Assisting in arranging company events and team activities
• Supporting weekly operations: chasing reports, preparing presentation slides for weekly All Hands meetings
• Managing office and satellite office administration tasks as needed

General Support
• Providing administrative support to colleagues and leadership
• Acting as a central point of contact for office management queries

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and general office administration
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Breathe HR is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
