Finance Assistant – Construction Industry

Our well-established client within the construction industry is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team on a full-time basis in Tewkesbury.
This role offers the opportunity to provide vital support across both the finance function and wider business operations. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent service to customers while supporting internal teams.
The successful candidate will build strong working relationships across the business, ensuring effective communication between finance and operational departments. You will assist in resolving queries efficiently, helping to maintain high standards of service and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
-Process purchase invoices
-Liaise with the contracts team to ensure timely invoice approval
-Raise purchase orders
-Process month end payment runs
-Enter payments on to accounting software
-Month end processes i.e. reconciling supplier accounts
-Assist with customer and supplier enquiries as required
-General accounts administration
Candidate Attributes:
-Previous finance experience
-Attention to detail
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Must be able to multitask and be pro-active
-Excellent organisational skills
-SAGE 200 experience would be desirable
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break)
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum + 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Insurance + Cycle to work scheme + potential to earn 5% annual bonus!
