Hours: 19.5 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week to include INSET days

Ribston Hall High School is looking to recruit a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to work with
students identified as needing support.
You will work on a 1:1 basis with specific students in the classroom setting. There will also be an
opportunity to work with the wider student population to support in both a group and 1:1 basis.

This is a varied and rewarding role and is ideally suited to someone with a passion for working with
young people, who is responsive to the needs of individuals both academically, socially and
emotionally. You will also help them to develop their own sense of independence to achieve the
best possible outcomes throughout their school careers.

Working as part of our wider Wellbeing team, you will be supported by our Assistant SENCO and
Wellbeing Lead.

Experience of working within a school environment would be beneficial but this is not essential.

The postholder will be required to work Wednesday – Friday, from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with a 30-
minute unpaid lunch break each day. Although there maybe flexibility with regard to working hours/
patterns, it is essential that the postholder works on a Friday each week.

The salary is based on National Joint Council for Government workers scale, with access to the Local
Government Pension Scheme.
