Learning Support Assistant (EHCP Support)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a classroom setting. This is a full-time role based in Cheltenham, initially for a 2-month period, with the possibility of extension depending on needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with EHCPs
- Support students with coursework and classroom activities
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Promote engagement, confidence, and positive behavior
- Assist with personal care needs where required (training and guidance provided)
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of students at all times
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND/EHCPs (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach
- Ability to follow care plans and individual support strategies
- Willingness to support with personal care when required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- GCSE in English and Maths
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
