Teacher of PE and Sport - Maternity Cover

Dean Close Kingham Hill school are looking an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled Teacher of PE & Sport to join our dedicated team for a 1‑year maternity cover position.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about inspiring young people, delivering exceptional PE provision, and contributing to a thriving co‑curricular sports programme.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach PE and Sport across Key Stages 3–5, delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons.
- Plan, prepare, assess, track, and report on pupils’ progress in line with curriculum and examination requirements.
- Support pupils’ wellbeing and development through excellent pastoral care.
- Play an active role in the School’s sports teams, clubs, fixtures, and events, including coaching and accompanying teams to matches and trips.
- Contribute to the wider life of the School, including activities, trips, and whole‑school events.
- Uphold and promote safeguarding, health & safety, and the values of the Dean Close Foundation.
The successful candidate would have a degree in PE or Sport and have experience in coaching our schools core sports, which includes Rugby, Hockey, Football, Netball, Cricket and Athletic.
