Dog Groomer / Stylist

Due to our continued growth we are looking for an experienced Groomer / Stylist to join the team. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• 2 years dog grooming experience in a busy salon with the skills to breed a wide range of dogs to breed standard.

Desirable:

• iPet Network level 2 / Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.
• City and Guild Level 2 Certificate / Level 3 Diploma.
• OCN Level 3 Diploma.

MAIN DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grooming dogs to either breed standard or clients’ requirements including but not limited to washing, drying, brushing, clipping, scissoring, hand stripping, ear cleaning, nail clipping and tooth brushing.
• Completing initial client consultations to understand their needs and to provide professional feedback and advice based on your prior and relevant experiences.
• Offering clients a range of ancillary products that may be sold by the business from time to time.
• Making bookings and scheduling the diary.
• Taking payments and cash handling.
• Providing a caring environment to clients’ dogs at all times and ensuring high levels of welfare whilst a dog in your care.
• Cleaning – end of day and as required.
• Any other duties as required or requested by the business owner.
