Window Fitter

Job Overview:
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time /Self - Employed
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5:00 PM
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Self - Employed Window Fitter with
- Strong experience in the installation of windows, doors, curtain walling, and shopfront systems
- Proven background in commercial glazing projects
- Preference given to candidates with traditional glazing skills, including glass cutting and putty work
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Open to learning and applying new techniques
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality work with a “right first time” approach
- Must have own tools
Role Description:
As a key member of a small, efficient team, your responsibilities will focus on:
- Installing a wide range of commercial glazing systems, including frames and glass units
- Working across both commercial and domestic environments
- Conducting accurate templating and surveying
- Understanding and meeting customer requirements
- Making precise on-site adjustments to ensure a perfect fit
- Communicating clearly with clients and colleagues throughout each project
Key Installation Areas:
- Fitting pre-fabricated window and door frames in aluminium and uPVC
- Curtain walling and shopfront glazing systems
- Replacement sealed units
- Traditional glazing (putty work and glass cutting)
- Mirrors, balustrades, and shower screens
- Secondary glazing
- Fire-rated glass installations
