Job Description Location Woodchester, Glos Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience Key responsibilities Deliver face-to-face training across a variety of manufacturing and assembly skills. Develop, review, and maintain training materials to ensure content remains accurate and effective. Maintain employee training records and associated documentation, both electronically and in hard-copy formats. Coordinate and schedule new starter, refresher, and skills development training courses. Support the assessment, selection, and onboarding of new assembly operators. Monitor trainee progress and provide constructive feedback to support skill development. Promote best practice and adherence to quality and process standards throughout all training activities. Key requirements Practical experience and a good working knowledge of hand soldering techniques and associated electronic assembly processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and present to individuals and groups. Good organisational and administrative skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt training methods to suit different learning styles. Desirable Requirements Previous experience delivering face-to-face training in a manufacturing, technical, or educational environment. Knowledge of, or certification to, IPC-A-610 standards. Good understanding of precision assembly and manufacturing processes. Experience creating or developing training materials and work instructions. A willingness to learn new skills and broaden technical knowledge. Experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Person Specification The successful applicants will be a positive and motivated team players with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in developing others. They will be adaptable in their approach, tailoring training methods to suit different individuals, experience levels, and learning preferences. The role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to balance practical training delivery with the administrative responsibilities associated with maintaining training records and schedules. The candidates should be comfortable working independently whilst also contributing effectively within a small, focused team. As training is delivered across multiple Renishaw locations, flexibility to travel between sites when required is essential. Company transport will be provided where necessary. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator, assembler, or technician who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping others develop their skills.
