About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Car Mechanic and MOT tester to join our busy workshop

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard
• Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional work where required
• Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
• Complete vehicle health checks and report findings clearly
• Ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Keep the workshop clean and organised

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Car Mechanic
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• MOT Tester qualification
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and time management
• Positive, customer-focused attitude
