Vehicle Technician - Technician

Gloucester

We are looking for a Technician with excellent diagnostic skills and able to solve and repair simple to complex automotive issues together with performing routine maintenance tasks for our client’s vehicles. The ideal applicant will also need good customer service skills able to explain issues to customers.

• Work with customers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose the issue
• Spend time explaining vehicle repair needs to each customer so that they understand what repairs they need
• Use the diagnostic equipment and knowledge/experience to accurately pinpoint vehicle issues
• Conduct vehicle inspections and alert customers to issues that will prevent their vehicles from passing inspection
• Competent and confident in clutches, gearboxes and timing belt/cambelt repairs.
• 5+ years’ experience performing automotive service
• Familiarity with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Valid MOT tester licence preferred, but not essential.
• Good customer service skills and a friendly disposition
• Clean and smart appearance.
• Punctual
• Able to work as part of a team and work alone
• Clean driving licence
• Level 3 in mechanics or above.
