Yardperson

We are hiring a Yardperson in Gloucester - £13 per hour, 6-month fixed contract, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11:00-17:30, Saturday 08:00-13:30.

As a Yardman, you’ll ensure our commercial delivery vehicles are cleaned and maintained to the highest company standards. You’ll also be responsible for keeping the transport yard safe and tidy, as well as reporting any issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and maintain vehicles inside and out in line with schedules.
- Remove rubbish, wash cabs, and pressure wash refrigerated chambers.
- Refuel vehicles (diesel, gas, oil & Ad-Blue).
- Keep the vehicle wash area clean and organised.
- Park vehicles according to site layout (including freezer plug-in points).
- Drive vehicles responsibly and maintain professional standards.
- Follow all company safety processes and SSWs.

To be successful:

- Valid UK driving licence (essential).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, adaptable attitude with great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of vehicle fuelling and different fuel types.
- Commitment to maintaining company standards and suggesting improvements.
