Credit Controller

Credit Controller

Hardwicke, Gloucester

At Premiere Kitchens, we have been designing, manufacturing and supplying high-quality kitchens across the UK for over 30 years. Based at our site in Hardwicke, Gloucester, we are proud to employ local skilled people and to deliver cost-effective, design-led solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.

We're looking for an organised, accurate and confident Credit Controller to join our Finance Team in Hardwicke. This is a varied role covering credit control, sales ledger and customer account administration. You'll play an important role in helping the business maintain healthy cashflow, while building positive and professional relationships with our customers.

What will you be doing?

You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively managing outstanding balances and ensuring invoices are paid on time while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively following up overdue customer accounts and collecting outstanding payments.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and resolving account queries promptly and professionally.
  • Posting and allocating customer payments accurately.
  • Raising invoices and credit notes where required.
  • Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Monitoring customer credit limits and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Supporting the accurate administration of the sales ledger and wider credit control processes.
  • Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.
  • Providing general finance administration and support where required.

About you

You'll ideally have previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role. We're looking for someone who is organised, accurate and confident communicating with customers, including by telephone. You'll be comfortable managing your own workload, prioritising competing demands and taking responsibility for getting things done.

You'll bring:

  • Good attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A professional and confident communication style.
  • The ability to work independently while being a positive member of the wider Finance Team.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • A proactive and helpful approach to resolving customer queries.

Experience of Sage 500 or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be useful but is not essential. Experience of trade credit insurance would also be advantageous.

We're more interested in finding the right person with the right approach than ticking every box, so if you have relevant finance experience but don't meet every requirement, we'd still encourage you to apply.

Why join us?

You'll be joining an established business with a proud manufacturing heritage and a strong local presence. We value people who take pride in their work, communicate openly, take accountability and look for ways to improve how we work. We offer a supportive working environment and a varied finance role where your contribution will make a genuine difference to the business.

Our benefits

Alongside a salary of £28,000–£30,000 FTE (depending on experience), you'll have access to:

  • 5% enhanced employer pension contribution
  • Life Assurance – 2x annual salary
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Flexible Holidays
  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme
  • Money-saving programmes
  • And more!

Working Pattern

We're offering 24–32 hours per week, and we're happy to be flexible about how these hours are worked. You could work across 3, 4 or 5 days per week, depending on your preference and what works best for you.

For candidates looking for a full-time opportunity, we would also consider full time (40hrs per week).

If you're an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role with flexibility, we'd love to hear from you!
