Teaching Assistant- Level 3

The principal and governors are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting children both in the classroom and at lunchtime. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual who puts the children at the centre of everything they do.
Job requirements:
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
- Experience working as a level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Working towards the NOS in Supporting Teaching & Learning level 3 or equivalent.
- NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning.
- Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff.
- Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of learners; the ability to form positive relationships to enable strong inclusion and support of our children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and prioritising the needs of our pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity, and the successful candidate will be required to:
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENDCo to plan, prepare and deliver support to individuals or small groups of pupils with additional needs.
- Provide cover for classes.
- Provide pastoral support to pupils.
