We have an exciting role of a Head of Commercial Partnerships within our Community Partnerships team!

SGS College is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Head of Commercial Partnerships to join our newly established Community and Partnerships Directorate. This exciting new role offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow the College's commercial offer, leading income-generating activity across our campuses and developing strategic partnerships that deliver value for both SGS and the communities we serve. Reporting to the Director of Community and Partnerships, you will drive the commercial performance of our facilities, events and services, while creating innovative opportunities with employers, community organisations and commercial customers. A key focus of the role will be the development and management of commercially led contracts for our sporting partners and venue users, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that maximise utilisation, income and impact. As a senior leader, you will identify new business opportunities, lead high-performing teams, enhance customer experience and help position SGS College as a vibrant hub for sport, culture, business and community engagement. If you have a proven track record in commercial leadership, business development and partnership management, this is an exceptional opportunity to build something new and make a lasting impact across one of the region's leading colleges.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manage and develop commercial activity across college facilities, venues, services and events. 
• Identify and convert new business opportunities that increase commercial income and facility utilisation. 
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employers, customers, community organisations and commercial partners.
• Monitor commercial performance and provide regular reports on income, occupancy levels, customer satisfaction and business development activity.
• Lead, motivate and develop commercial staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational delivery. 
• Support the continued development of SGS campuses as accessible and vibrant community hubs.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Significant experience of partnership development and management with external stakeholders
• Proven track record of building and sustaining complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships
• Experience of working with employers and community organisations to improve outcomes. 
• Experience of managing externally funded projects or programmes. 
• Strong understanding of commercially-led contracts, sponsorship or income generation
• Knowledge of social inclusion, widening participation and community development principles
