Our incredible network of volunteer hosts open their homes to offer safe, supportive, night-by-night stays — and our team works to prevent homelessness through early intervention, guidance, and care.

About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Business Support Officer – Finance, Governance & Communications to play a key role in keeping our charity running safely, smoothly, and sustainably.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety, enjoys responsibility, and thrives in a friendly, values driven organisation.
You’ll support key areas including:
1. Finance & Governance (Primary Focus)
- You’ll help us stay compliant, audit ready, and financially sound through tasks like:
- Coordinating administrative systems and processes across the organisation
- Supporting governance processes including preparation of trustee papers and meetings
2. Business & Operational Support
You’ll help keep our organisation running smoothly with:
- Assisting with financial administration and monitoring processes
- Maintaining organisational records and document systems
- Supporting monitoring, reporting and data management
- Providing general business and administrative support across the team
3. Events, Awareness & Communications Support
Bring your creativity and communication skills to:
- Assisting with coordination of volunteers, events and organisational activities
- Creating content and posting on social media as part of a planned schedule
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in finance, governance, or compliance-related admin
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Experience preparing papers or taking minutes
- Strong written communication
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Canva, digital systems)
- Commitment to equality, diversity & inclusion
Desirable
- Experience in a charity or nonprofit
- Knowledge of grant-funded projects/audits
- Familiarity with finance systems
- Experience in events or social media

Other Requirements
- Access to a car, full driving license & business insurance
- Willingness to work flexibly on occasion
