VACANCY – Purchasing Assistant
ESS Employment are seeking an experienced person to work for an established local company.
Duties:
• Take responsibility for day to day procurement and raising of all supplier purchase orders
• Manage, and also develop existing systems to ensure stock availability whilst meeting stock days targets using Sage 200 ERP.
• Innovate around the best way to buy from suppliers, twinning orders together or meeting certain volume requirements to gain the most competitive prices.
• Assist in the procurement of raw material stocks
• Assist in the development of stock control systems, working with logistics
• Drive a decrease in stock turn days, by stocking as efficiently as possible
• Forecast supply and demand, from ERP system data
• Assist in developing new suppliers in European countries, with an emphasis on reducing dependency on far eastern suppliers.
• Assist supplier research and ensuring compliance
• Supplier Quality Management – Ensuring NCR's are opened for internal and external non conformance, take responsibility of bring these NCR's to satisfactory result ensuring supplier improvement or deselection.
Requirements:
• 3 years minimum purchasing experience
