Job Role - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Reporting to the Design Manager the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be part key part of a dedicated team and support Design, Operations and Proposals Department.

Duties - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

- Create proposal drawings to support quotation and costing of equipment.
- Produce detailed GA, manufacturing and IOM drawings using 3D AutoCAD ensuring the mechanical integrity and fitness for purpose of our product and system designs
- Produce Bills of Materials to enable correct information for quotations & supply of products to customers.
- Work with our Operations Manager and Purchasing to identify and interact with subcontractors capable of meeting our production requirements
- Drawing File Maintenance
- Ensure full compliance with British and International Standards and our Quality Management System

Experience/Qualifications - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience within a design and engineering environment preferably related to rotating machinery
- Knowledge of fabrication design and manufacture

Candidates who are currently a Design Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer, CAD Engineer, Design Engineer, Development Engineer, Principal Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Project Engineer could be suitable for this role.
