Technical Author required by industry leading and award winning engineering company, based on the outskirts of Stroud The successful Technical Author will work closely with the engineering team to create the correct technical documentation to support assembly and test processes and procedures.

Main Duties: Technical Author

* Creation of internal documentation and standard operating procedures.
* Writing technical and illustrated content for publications.
* Maintaining and updating quality management processes.
* Updating technical information and document control.
* Liaising with internal departments and supporting continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Technical Author

* A background within a technical publications role, ideally gained with a engineering or manufacturing or equivalent environment.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
* The ability to provide accurate and concise written and verbal communications.
* Experience using publication software such as Word, Adobe FrameMaker.
* Proficient with CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
* Able to relate to people at all levels and to maintain business relationships.
