Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking organisation within the Sports, Leisure & Hospitality sector, based in Forest Green, has an exciting new opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued growth and increased demand.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Assistant looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and unique environment. Working alongside an experienced Head Chef and dedicated Catering Team, the successful Catering Assistant will gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting the delivery of high-quality food services across a variety of venues and events.

The successful Catering Assistant should have:
·Previous experience within a catering, hospitality, restaurant or food service environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
·A basic understanding of food hygiene, food safety practices and kitchen procedures
·Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
·A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work using their own initiative
·A willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays to support matchdays and special events
·A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop new culinary skills
·A full clean driving licence
·A passion for supporting sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives

In this role, the Catering Assistant will be responsible for:
·Supporting the Head Chef and Catering Team in the preparation and delivery of food across multiple catering outlets
·Assisting with food preparation tasks, including ingredient preparation, chopping vegetables and assembling dishes
·Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout kitchen and food preparation areas
·Providing general operational support to the Catering Team during busy service periods
·Supporting food service delivery on matchdays and during special events
·Ensuring all food preparation and service activities comply with food safety and hygiene regulations

This role generally operates on a Monday to Friday basis, with shifts typically between 9:00am and 5:00pm. However, the successful Catering Assistant will be expected to work all matchdays, which are primarily held on Saturdays, along with occasional evening events throughout the year

Our client is offering the successful Catering Assistant a salary in the region of £27,900 - £29,100, depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package including:
