We are looking for a reliable, punctual and detail-focused Call Centre Operative to join our busy call centre team based in Gloucester.

This role involves predominantly handling incoming calls from customers who require assistance, along with follow up outbound calls to arrange engineer attendance, confirm information, or provide updates.

This is not a sales role and we do not carry out cold calling.

The position requires someone who can communicate clearly on the telephone, type accurately while speaking with callers, and record information correctly. Attention to detail is extremely important as the information you record is used to arrange engineer attendance and manage customer requests.

We are open to either:

  • One full-time employee, or
  • Two part-time employees

to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, clear and courteous manner
  • Record caller information accurately while speaking with customers
  • Arrange engineer attendance and log job details correctly
  • Make occasional outbound calls to confirm details or provide updates
  • Maintain accurate records using our internal systems
  • Handle calls calmly and professionally while maintaining attention to detail

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written English
  • Strong and accurate typing ability
  • Clear and confident telephone communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and overnight shifts
  • Ability to remain calm and organised when handling multiple calls

Because this role involves accurately recording information from callers and communicating clearly with customers and engineers, applicants must have excellent written English, spelling and grammar.
