Content and Campaigns Executive (Part-Time)

The Cyber Scheme is an examination and training body authorised by NCSC (The National Cyber Security Centre) and the UK Cyber Security Council to assess and accredit cyber security professionals. The business has changed beyond recognition in the last two years, expanding to professional registration, accredited training, education, collaboration with thought leaders and technical specialists, and the building of an innovative accreditation scheme through which we aim to influence the professionalisation of the cyber security industry.
Due to this expansion we are now looking for a switched-on executive (part time initially) to join the sales and marketing team, helping us develop communications, map out marketing opportunities and get involved in the strategic direction of this agile, fast paced business.
About the role
We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Content and Campaigns Executive to help turn the work of The Cyber Scheme into engaging content, campaigns and marketing activity. We need someone who can take ideas, projects, events, partnerships and technical subject matter and transform them into content that informs, engages and grows our audience. You'll work across our social media, newsletters, PR campaigns, printed collateral and events, helping us showcase the impact of our work and the organisations we work with.
What you'll do
Content creation
- Write website articles, case studies and news stories
- Create LinkedIn and social media content
- Produce newsletter content and email campaigns
- Repurpose existing content into different formats
- Support the creation of downloadable resources and marketing materials using brand guidelines and principles
Campaign delivery
- Coordinate marketing activity for courses, accreditations and partnerships
- Support campaign planning and execution
- Maintain content calendars and schedules
- Help ensure campaigns are delivered consistently and on time
Social media and digital marketing
- Manage social media scheduling and publishing
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Stay up to date with platform trends and best practice
- Support basic video and visual content creation
Marketing coordination
- Gather case studies, testimonials and success stories
- Collect contributor bios, photos and supporting materials
- Update website content through WordPress
- Support reporting and campaign administration
What we're looking for
You'll be someone who is able to create a steady pipeline of high-quality marketing activity that supports organisational growth and:
- Is a confident and capable writer, providing consistent and regular content across all channels
- Understands how to create content for different audiences and platforms, helping to promote our courses, accreditations and partnerships
- Keeps up to date with social media and content marketing trends and is comfortable using analytics
- Is comfortable using AI tools (specifically CoPilot) to improve content production including repurposing of existing content
- Has experience with WordPress and Canva - Creative Cloud InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop would be a bonus
- Can manage multiple projects and deadlines and is comfortable engaging with external stakeholders
- Is proactive, curious and happy to work independently.
Experience in cyber security isn't necessary, but an interest in technology and an ability to understand complex topics would be beneficial.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, making things happen and working in a small, ambitious organisation where they can have a genuine impact. Occasional UK travel may be required.
Candidates will have 1-2 years experience in a marketing executive role, and be familiar and proficient with office tools including Office 365, CRM, web development and analytics. We're not looking for graduates or people looking for their first role, but would welcome people returning to the workforce looking for flexibility around childcare arrangements etc. You must be able to work in our Cheltenham office 1-2 days per week.
On offer is a salary in the range of £40K (pro rata) dependent on experience, pension scheme, private health cover, 28 days annual leave, laptop and phone. Location is in our brand new offices in the centre of leafy Cheltenham, and we're aiming for a mix of office, hybrid, and remote working which is flexible and designed to suit the team.
