ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER

South Cerney Golf Course is located near Cirencester in the Cotswolds and is an 18 hole golf course looking for an assistant greenkeeper to join the team.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated assistant greenkeeper who will be involved in all aspects of turf maintenance.
The position is full time and will require working predominantly weekdays, but with flexibility to work weekends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with maintaining greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and surrounding landscape areas.
• Carry out mowing, raking, edging, devoting and general turf care tasks.
• Assist with irrigation, aeration, seeding and topdressing.
• Operating and maintaining machinery and hand tools safely.
• Planting and maintaining shrubs and trees.
• Assist with course set up for daily play.
• Monitor course conditions and report maintenance requirements.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Supervising staff.
PREFERRED
• Level 2 Certification in Turf Management or equivalent preferred.
• AQF3 Chemical spray certification desirable.
• Knowledge of safe equipment handling and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
