HEAD GREENKEEPER

SOUTH CERNEY GOLF COURSE – SOUTH WEST

South Cerney Golf Course is located near Cirencester in the Cotswolds and is an 18 hole golf course looking for a head greenkeeper to join the team.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced greenkeeper who will be involved in all aspects of turf maintenance.

The position is full time and will require working predominantly weekdays, but with flexibility to work some weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and surrounding landscape areas.
• Operate and maintain golf course machinery and equipment safely.
• Carry out mowing, aeration, top dressing, irrigation and turf management activities.
• Apply fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides.
• Planting and maintaining shrubs and trees.
• Assist with course set up for daily play.
• Monitor course conditions and report maintenance requirements.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Supervising staff.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified greenkeeper with minimum Level 3 Certification in Turf Management or equivalent.
• AQF3 Chemical spray certification desirable.
• Knowledge of safe equipment handling and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
