About the Role
The Council operates a variety of facilities including a Community Building, Astro and football pitches. The role requires a large element of opening and locking for users of these facilities, often in the evenings and at weekends and is looking to recruit a team of caretakers. The roles will also need to undertake health and safety tasks which include water flushing, fire alarm and emergency light testing, watercourse trash screen clearance, litter picking and general basic maintenance.

Working Hours
The post is for a minimum of 16 hours per week, which will be spread out over several days, with cover over the week being provided on a rota basis with other caretakers. You will be required to be able to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, some daytime hours, evenings and weekends, although it is possible that hours worked can be negotiated. There will also be a requirement to work additional hours to cover events held by the Council, such as Christmas Lights Switch on and Remembrance Sunday.

• Be flexible in your approach and hours worked;
• Be able to work on own initiative but also follow instructions as the tasks will vary;
• Be proactive;
• You will need to be able to move around the parish as the Council’s facilities are spread out, so access to a vehicle is essential.

Salary: £13.47 - £14.59 per hour (pay award pending)
