The Role
Cheltenham Festivals is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Data Insights Analyst to lead our data strategy and unlock the full potential of our organisational data.
This is a pivotal role where you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on analysis, driving insight-led decision-making across our festivals and wider operations. You’ll champion a data-driven culture, empowering teams with the tools, skills, and understanding they need to make impactful decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and deliver the organisation’s data strategy
• Analyse data to generate actionable insights and identify opportunities
• Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI)
• Deliver reporting, forecasting, and event performance analysis
• Manage festival datasets (ticketing, sales, audiences)
• Support teams with data tools, Excel, and best practice
• Present insights to senior stakeholders
• Develop team members
About You
• Proven experience in data analysis or insights roles
• Strong skills in Excel, Power BI (Python desirable)
• Confident working with large datasets and multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, curious, and solutions-focused
Desirable:
Experience in arts, events, or not-for-profit organisations, and familiarity with CRM/ticketing systems.
