Events Coordinator (Maternity leave cover)

We’re seeking a passionate and dynamic person to support our Events team on a fixed term basis during a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting role where you’ll be supporting our events team deliver a range of high profile events including our flagship WellChild awards.
Location
Hybrid- Home working with 1-2 days per week at Cheltenham office, plus occasional UK travel to meet requirements of role.
Hours of work
Open to flexible working options between 20hrs – 25 hours per week.

We’re looking for an outstanding events coordinator to play a key role in delivering a range of high-profile events that raise vital funds and awareness for our work. Reporting to the Event Manager, you’ll help plan, organise, and deliver exceptional events that inspire supporters and generate income.
What you will do:
- Support the Event Manager in delivering a coordinated, high-quality event management service.
- Research, plan, and implement new and existing events, ensuring they meet objectives and budgets.
- Work with the Fundraising Teams to build relationships with partners and secure sponsorship opportunities.
- Create excellent supporter journeys for event participants to maximise engagement and retention.
- Liaise with venues, suppliers, sponsors, and supporters to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Maintain accurate data and financial records, and contribute to event evaluation and reporting.
- Ensure event pages on our website are up-to-date and actively promoted.
- What we are looking for:
- Experience in event planning and delivery, ideally within a fundraising or charity setting.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM’s such as Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with other teams across the organisation such as Communications and Fundraising to maximise the success of events.
- A desire and commitment to build and deliver the very best events programme possible, resulting in fantastic fundraising and supporter engagement

This is a fixed term role based in Cheltenham. In conjunction with this we operate a hybrid home working/office working policy. There will also be some travel to meetings and events required that fall outside of normal working hours.
