Catering Assistant/Chef (19hrs per week)

At Guild House Residential Home
This dual role position is an opportunity for someone with catering experience to work as both a chef and a catering assistant. This role will include various tasks including food preparation, food delivery, kitchen cleaning and occasionally assisting residents to eat.
Join our team who work together to support residents with varying nutrition and hydration needs, some living with dementia.
When in the Chef role (6hrs) you will ensure a quality food service is provided and share responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen.
Personal Specification
- Have some experience of working as a Chef/Cook.
- Be willing to learn how to support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs if you do not already have experience in this.
- Have a Level 2 Food Hygiene or would be willing to complete one whilst working for the Trust
- Be conscientious, flexible and dependable.
- Able to interact with a cheerful demeanour.
- Able to work within a team.
- Take pride in what you do particularly when working with the residents’ own preferences, thereby promoting choice, dignity and respect.
